What is the best way to prepare for the conference?

The best way to prepare for a conference is to research the event thoroughly. Familiarize yourself with the schedule, speakers, and sessions. When the LMA26 app launches prior to the event, download it and create a personalized agenda based on your interests and goals. Ensure you pre-register for any workshops or special activities to secure your spot. It will even include menus, all the rooms, floorplan, exhibitor listing, ways to connect with other conference attendees and more.

How do I choose which sessions to attend?

Choose sessions by reviewing the conference schedule and identifying topics that align with your interests and goals. Consider the expertise of the speakers and any recommendations from peers. Aligning sessions with your professional development will maximize your overall experience. Don’t hesitate to adjust your schedule based on what you find most valuable.

What should I bring to the sessions?

Pack essential documents like your registration confirmation and ID, along with a notepad and pen. Wear comfortable clothing (business casual) and bring your smartphone and laptop. In case there aren't outlets available, bring a portable power bank to remain powered up during the day. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated and snacks for energy throughout the day.

How can I make the most of networking opportunities?

The LMA conference offs many opportunities to meet colleagues, share challenges and opportunities and make new connections. Take advantage of all of them! To maximize networking opportunities, approach people with an open mind and genuine interest. Prepare questions or discussion topics related to their work or interests. Actively listen and engage in meaningful conversations. Follow up with contacts after the event to solidify the connections made.

What are the benefits of attending a conference solo?

Attending a conference solo can improve your focus and independence. It give you an opportunity to meet new people and engage fully in sessions. Solo attendance allows you to manage the conference on your terms and build confidence in your networking skills. It can also lead to more personalized connections. Again, check out the Mentor-Mentee Program to be connected to a seasoned conference-goer to maximize your event experience!

Let’s make your first LMA Annual Conference unforgettable! Here are some top tips:
